Making mixtapes is easy, there's even webservices to allow you creating by just selecting a few songs. But there's more to this craft, from the selection of the right songs, tempo, getting a decent crossfading, pitch and finding those extra bits of sounds or speech to make it something unique. If you want to see how much effort you can put into an hour of music, read this blogpost by Flight Facilities.
The plan is to get together every few weeks, exchange our work, get advise for improvements and have fun.
